THE CHALLENGE
The homeowners had a small backyard with a severe slope and difficult access. They wanted to increase the size of their patio for entertaining but keep a grass area for their two dogs. They also wanted to keep some of the mature landscape plants.
THE SOLUTION
The existing patio was enlarged and custom stainless steel benches and planters were installed surrounding an Ipe deck. All of the materials were carried in by hand as there wasn’t enough room for machinery access. Existing plants were dug by hand and placed in the new planters to keep the look of a mature landscape.
